Rep. Maloy Applauds Passage of WOSB Integrity Act in House Small Business Committee

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Celeste Maloy applauded the passage of the WOSB Integrity Act of 2024 through the House Committee on Small Business.

“This critical piece of legislation will ensure that only true, small businesses owned by women can access the full benefits of the WOSB contracting program,” said Rep. Maloy. “I’m grateful to my colleagues on the House Committee on Small Business for their support of this bill. I’d also like to encourage the other members of the House to support this legislation on the floor so that we can level the playing field for women entrepreneurs in Utah and across the nation.”

The WOSB Integrity Act of 2024 was introduced by Rep. Celeste Maloy (R-UT) and Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI). It would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) and third-party, certifying entities to take reasonable action to verify that WOSB applicants are small firms.
