Our District

The Second Congressional District is the largest district in Utah, ranging from the red rock beauty of St. George to the charming city of Bountiful and everything in between. Ranchers, farmers, entrepreneurs, miners, servicemembers and other hardworking Utahns reside here. It also has a rich pioneer history.

The Second District is home to three out of the five national parks in Utah – Zion National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park – as well as four state parks. As a result, people from across the state and around the world travel to visit and recreate on our lands.

The economy in the Second District is made up of a variety of industries. Beaver County, Utah boasts one of the largest geothermal projects in the nation. Agriculture and ranching have deep roots in the communities of Southern Utah. And Universities like Dixie Tech and Southern Utah University are shaping the next generation of Utah leaders.

Additionally, the Tooele Army Depot – which stores ammunition for the Army – and Dugway Proving Ground – the Army's premier science and test facility – have made a large impact on the northwestern part of the district.

From its iconic landscapes and down to earth communities, the Second District has become one of the best places to live in Utah.
