Celeste Maloy is committed to cutting red tape and restoring accountability to government so that Utahns have the freedom to succeed. Born in Cedar City, Utah and raised in Hiko, Nevada, she grew up in the small-town West before attending Southern Utah University, where she earned a degree in agriculture.
Celeste began her career as a soil conservationist, spending a decade working directly with Utah families and farmers. She went on to earn her law degree from Brigham Young University and built a distinguished legal career focused on public lands and water issues. She served as a deputy Washington County attorney, public lands attorney for the Utah Association of Counties, and staff attorney for the Washington County Water Conservancy District. Most recently, she served as Chief Legal Counsel to Representative Chris Stewart before being elected to Congress in 2023.
In Congress, Representative Maloy serves on the House Appropriations Committee, where she fights for a balanced federal budget and delivers on Utah priorities. She also serves on the House Natural Resources Committee, defending Utah's rights to use and access its natural resources and public lands.
As Chair of the Congressional Western Caucus—one of the largest caucuses in Congress—Congresswoman Maloy leads efforts to amplify rural voices and Western priorities on the national stage. She is passionate about cutting red tape, restoring accountability to government, and protecting local communities from federal overreach.
Congresswoman Maloy is honored to represent Utah's Second Congressional District and remains committed to the principles that define the rural West: freedom, self-reliance, and the right of communities to chart their own future.
